The Imo PDP Governorship candidate Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and the PDP election campaign train visited Oguta L.G.A yesterday. He was greeted with massive support and cheers from the people of the area who came out to show solidarity to his governorship aspiration.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the Holy Trinity College field venue of the rally, Emeka Ihedioha promised to ensure the dredging of Oguta Lake and the full operation of Oguta Jetty if elected as the next governor of Imo State. The Deputy Speaker was shocked that the people have been without electricity for some months now and said he'll make sure that power supply is restored back to them immediately he is sworn in as the governor. He also promised to address the issue of bad road which is bedeviling communities in Oguta LGA
He further assured the people that he will not interfere with ISOPADEC but rather he will partner with the commission to provide the basic amenities which the oil producing communities needs. He stressed that Oguta LGA will benefit from the people oriented programmes and policies of his administration when elected to serve the people of Imo State.
Emeka Ihedioha says his government will give Imo State a free and qualitative education to restore the lost educational glory of the state. The government under his watch shall revolutionize Agriculture and introduce mechanized agriculture to ensure food sufficiency Job creation and alternative source of revenue to the state. Other areas of interest and priority to the government are: Revival of the Health care sector with attention to free maternal health care; Improve the power generation to Imo State which will enhance Industrialization; Security and conducive business environment; Quality and Durable road infrastructure; Creation of Job Opportunities through the reactivation of the Technical Colleges in the State.
The governor to be had earlier visited the Palace of Chairman of Oguta Council of Traditional Rulers Eze Ignatius Asor where he met with all the traditional rulers in Oguta and received royal blessings.
After the rally, the governorship flag bearer and his entourage was hosted by the Apex leader of PDP in Oguta LGA / Orlu zone Oguagu Francis Arthur Nzeribe at his Haven of Peace country home.
Those that accompanied Rt. Hon. Ihedioha to the rally includes; his wife Lady Ebere Ihedioha, his deputy Rt. Hon, Chuma Nnaji and wife, the Imo PDP chairman Nnamdi Anyaehie, Former governor Achike Udenwa, Former deputy governors Douglas Acholonu, Ebere Udeagu, Ada Okwuonu,Senator representing Orlu zone Chief Hope Uzodinma, member representing Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and Oru East Federal Constituency Hon. Gerald Irona, the PDP Candidates Rt. Hon Goodluck Opia, Barr Williams, and many other party stalwarts.
