Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan (CON) has approved the appointment of Professor Victor F. Peretomode as the new Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, the appointment took effect from Monday, December 1, 2014.
The statement disclosed that the appointment was sequel to the receipt of the report of the selection board for the appointment of Vice Chancellor for DELSU by the governor.
The SSG said in the statement that from the summary of performances of the candidates who appeared before the selection board, Professor Victor F. Peretomode took the first position; Professor R.B. Ikomi took the second position while Professor C.P. Aloamaka took the third position.
“Upon the recommendations of the Governing Council of Professor F. Victor Peretomode as the first choice candidate for the position, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan (CON), Governor of Delta State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 28 (1) of the Delta State University law, 1998, has approved the appointment of Professor Victor F. Peretomode as Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka”, the statement added.
