FASHOLA DESTABILIZES BUHARI’S CAMP: SAYS AGBAJE (57) IS “TOO OLD TO RULE LAGOS” AT IKEJA RALLY

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Wednesday, in what is deemed a major faux-pas on his part has tasked Lagos residents to resist the idea of voting for Mr. Jimi Agbaje the PDP governorship candidate for being too old to rule the state. Mr. Jimi Agbaje born March 2, 1957 is currently 57 years old. Governor Fashola made this remarks at the Lagos West senatorial campaign of the APC governorship candidate, Mr Akinwumi Ambode, which took place at Sky Power Play Ground, Ikeja. that: “Today, at 52, I am counting the number of black hair on my head. Akinwunmi Ambode is the man that can do it. If you put an old man there, he cannot do it. If you call him in the night, he may not pick your calls,” he warned. The controversial remark has prompted several campaign groups affiliated with the General Buhari campaign organization to embark on strategic meetings since last night with the aim of controlling the damage caused by the statement as conversations on the APC Presidential and VP candidates age who are far older than Agbaje and with more daunting assignments, have been reawakened. According to Fashola, the task of governing Lagos State was required age to be on the side of the candidate and vigour on the part of the person at the helm of affairs, recalling that in 2007 when he took over governance at age 44, he could count the number of grey hair on his head.
